"Learn to prioritize,Hasan"- Dad's words always ring in my head all the time. Back in school, my priority was academic excellence. All the praises and the attention I received was the main thing that drove me to success.

But these days I found that this isn't my main priority anymore. I find developing social skills (which I lacked in school) is more satisfying. I feel so undriven to achieve high in class. Lose some, gain some. I am so absorbed with this saying.

People learn through mistakes they made and I don't know what I really feel with my choices. But I am happy for this time being. God please guide me to the right path, Amen.

I'm flying to KL (again) this winter break. Hope to see my family and homies back home. I really miss them eventhough I flew back to Malaysia last September.

I wanna taste the tarmac on mum's 330Ci. Might be driving to Ipoh to meet my cousin, Aizat. Malaysian highway is such a pleasure when driving good fast cars.

But I will be missing my girlfriend badly, she would be so lonely without me during the semester break. Lose some, gain some then. Gahh.

Feels like shipping my Vespa back to KL. The Vespa community in Malaysia seems interesting; they have fun and cool long trip convoys. hm.

All in all, I am both happy and unhappy flying back to my beloved hometown-slash-city.

LML Xpress 150

LML is an Indian company that makes parts for Piaggio 20 years back. The scooter I bought 5 days ago is an LML Xpress (known as Stella or Genuine Scooters in Europe and in the US).

Basically, this scooter is a Vespa PX150E. Except, the 2-stroke engine is changed to a more fuel-efficient and some claimed faster 4-stroker while losing the Vespa-ish prrranggg-tang-tang sound.

I bought a black one instead of a yellow since some arab took the yellow already. I went to Aboul Elaa with Mahmoud. I have Vespa riding problems since I never rode one, so Mahmoud rode my Vespa back to Nasr City while I drove his E36 328i instead.

The PX150E is a very easy handling machine. Road conditions of most roads in Cairo made the Vespa the perfect idea of commuting. A superbike or a hyperbike is just not suitable at all for Cairo (except the Ring Road). Roads are sandy and full of potholes.

Hence, I am very happy with my Vespa!

It has been 8 days in Cairo already! Can't believe this still. The weather here is terrific. 19c after dawn, and 20++ during noon. Awesome. Juuust awesome.

I finally achieved controlled-eating here. Just a matter of time to lose those adorable flabs. I walk a lot here. On the contrary, I drove almost everywhere I wanna go in Kuala Lumpur. I miss mum's Toyota Fortuner.

I hope dad will change his mind and let me by a Vespa PX150E scooter. Amen. Btw mum gave her go-ahead already. hmm.

I arrived at Cairo International Airport around 0515 hours. The SIA pilot did the smoothest landing I ever felt in my whole life. Shafiq and Amir picked me up and they asked me to drive the car instead. Lol. IT FELT REAL GOOD DRIVING AGRESSIVE LIKE AN EGYPTIAN.

Then later on the three of us went to Gawahehr Coffee Shop. All the employees greeted me and even the owner did the Arab-style handshakes and kisses on the cheek to me. They really really missed me.

Shisha-ed for around 20 minutes then I had to send the Hyundai Matrix (rental car) to it's owner in 10th District. Me and them dudes parted ways.

After that, I'm back in 10th District and it was just a mixture of sleep-becos-of-jetlag and boring stuff.

Oh wait. I met a fighter pilot who flies an F-16 Falcon later that day. He said he have to fly 10 sorties (10 missions) each month. He has been flying badass planes since the last 15 years. Cool heh. I met 80 percent of the awesome people here at Gawahehr.

I enjoy travelling. I enjoy travelling alone. But I'm enjoying it this time. I feel empty. Usually I will make a conversation with some stranger who sits besides me or something. But not this time.

I packed everything I needed in my luggage.....except my other pair of jeans. Now I need to find another pair in Cairo. Human error.

I find my tone so boring. I don't like admitting that I'm bored because I believe it will prevent me from getting more boring, and maybe leads to death. For the first time, I drove more than 230 kilometres straight. I feel like someone's husband driving the family on long trips. The trip from KL to Ipoh still feels short and quick eventhough I drove a Toyota Fortuner. Average speed around 150 kmh since I hit the rev limiter (160 kmh) countlessly. Wish I could drive a fast Bavarian.

30th August 2010. The last day in Cairo. I had a great time hanging out with my bros at Gawahehr (to me it's like the MacLaren's bar equivalent in H.I.M.Y.M). Shisha-ed the unique Gawahehr Tuffaah (double apple) for the last time. The waiters at Gawahehr hugged (and some kissed-me-at-both-cheek goodbye arab style). They're like my family. Very friendly to me.

Right now, it's only 9 hours before flight. All my bags are packed I'm ready to go. Top Gear will start another 20 mins, and I will have my sahuur watching the show (everyday btw). Mahmoud will pick me up at 0845 hours and we will head to Cairo International in no time (he drives hella fast in that modded 328i).

I'm gonna miss you Cairo. You have taught me a lot on how to live my life.

Women are like cars. It makes perfect sense. As a car enthusiast and a proper petrol-head, I should have realised about this around earlier (like 4-5 years ago). Of course, I will emphasize on the cars only.

1. Different people value each car differently; I value a fast BMW more rather than a comfy Merc. Same goes with women. Some people are into Russians, some are into Asians.

2. Buying a car is a very serious thing to me. I always try to know more about that certain car I want to buy such as read reviews in the internet, car magazines, and take her out for a quick test drive. Same goes with women. (Arranged marriage is excluded here)

3. Not a single car in this world is perfect. An Aston Martin DB9 can't do off-road stuffs like a Range Rover. Same goes with women. Some can cook, some cannot. Some can kill people, some cannot. You get the idea.

4. Good cars gives me sheer driving bliss. Good around the corners, great engine sound, quick acceleration, smooth gearbox. Same goes with good women. They satisfy me enough (or more than enough).

5. Bad cars give me headache. Always hesitate when you turn the ignition on. Easily get overheated. Jerky gear changes. In more simple words, bad cars are not reliable. Try buying a rarely-serviced, oftenly thrashed car. Same goes with women (self-explanatory)

6. Cars need delicate care. I wash my car every week (inside out), wax it every 3 months and send it to the car specialist for servicing. If it is not serviced often, it will become a bad car, an unreliable car. Same goes with women (self-explanatory)

7. If I treat my car badly like thrashing out the engine without warming it up or drive like an asshole, eventually the car will break down or it will get into an accident. Same goes with women; they will leave you if you treat her like shit.

There are a lot more similarities between women and cars. But I am very hungry and it's break fasting time in 10 minutes. GTG.

I was a very happy, cheerful kid. But slowly I was desperate to learn how to be mean to people so that I won't get bullied. The change was very hard because I'm very desperate to stop people from bullying me. Now, like 17 years later, I learnt how to be very mean to people. I thought I'd find inner peace and satisfaction.

Heck, being the nice, cheerful, helpful person I used to be is much more satisfying. That feeling after helping people who are in need is indescribable. Maybe I'm cursed to be good and help people because of the name my parents gave me. Hasan means good.

Went to Riadco Car Wash with Mahmoud. He hasnt washed his car for 2 weeks. Very dirty. and dusty. I saw a tight clean and restored rare BMW 850Ci. It was amazing (the condition of the car).

Oh yea i just drove an E36 328i (similar to my dad's when i was 8 years old). It brings sweet memories and Sheer Driving Pleasure at the same time. Thanks to Mahmoud for the experience.

Choose SIA for peace of mind. and always choose 5 Star all the way. And the transit duration is superb.

Royal Jordanian is fuckng overpriced. They are a 3-star airline (same as Air Asia, Gulf Air and Egyptair)

Cars can be so lifeless and boring. They need a big space to park in the city and you don't have any choice but to complain how boring life is when you're in a car, stuck in a traffic jam. hahahahaha. suck on that.

This post may be very very offensive to some individuals. Beware.

You can feel more boredom if you use the word automobiles instead of cars. (you feel me?). Okay, there are many kinds of automobiles; fast ones, slow ones, quick ones, big ones, little ones, hideous ones and so on.

Mostly cars nowadays are Front Wheel Drive, which means they are powered by the front wheels only. Car manufacturers preferred this kind of configuration in order to increase leg room and cabin space. For instance, Toyota used to produce the Corolla in rear wheel drive configuration until the 1990s, they changed to FWD.

Front wheel drived cars are the most boring cars you will ever drive. It will look very wrong if you see some FWD car doing burnouts (tire-smoking session). FWD cars also cannot execute a drift unlike RWD cars since front-wheelers have 'dead' wheels behind. How sad eh? and BMW, is planning to produce their first FWD car in the near future.

I can really see the future of automobile, full with electric-powered, funny looking, boring automobos..check out the Tata Nano. Ew. I think I wanna get a Vespa.

I cant believe I've lived for 6 months in Cairo. Life and shits must've be very different when I come home next 15 months. Thank god the radio station here rocks ass (much better than Fly or Hitz.fm).

The gap between the rich and the poor is very big. The rich drives big-engined European limousines (S500L, the new 750Li). While the poor drive almost totalled antique early 60s Peugeots and Fiats.

Before I flew to Cairo last year, I thought Cairo was a small city full of old buildings, no big ass shopping malls (like Pavillion, One Utama, etc),and full of poor people. I was wrong though. Shopping malls here are huugee, I can easily spot a medium-sized business sedan such as the new VW Passat, BMW 5 Series, Merc E-Klasse, and the Audi A6 anywhere I go in Cairo, even in the ghettos. There are plenty of American cars here. Sometimes I can spot American Muscles such as C5 Chevrolet Corvettes, Ford Mustangs, Pontiac Trans Ams, Chevy Impalas to name a few.

A considerable number of young people here is super stoked with European Trance music. Most of them love Ministry of Sound, Paul Van Dyk and Tiesto. And yes, there are those who listen to annoyingly stupid local made techno-wannabe-music.

Tobacco products are dirt cheap here. Everywhere I walk, there's always a smoker exhaling not-so-pleasant odour of smoke. A session of Shisha/Hookah costs only RM 2.00 for flavoured tobacco and Rm 1.00 for the raw flavour the locals call 'Ma'aasil'.

Malaysian students here can easily rent a car or a 150cc bike without any license needed. Pretty cheap I think (costs only RM 6 per hour for a car). Hyundai Matrix, Chevrolet Aveo LS, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Avanza are common in car rentals.

A small number of people here speaks English with American accent (I suspect because they learnt English in American Universities in Cairo). The middle class mostly speak English considerably fluent with thick Arab accent. The lower class only speaks Egyptian North Cairo dialect.

Running or jogging here is very unsafe. The sidewalks are not so pedestrian-friendly and the drivers drive like hell. But, Egyptian drivers are very aware. They really know how to brake in time contrary to drivers in Malaysia. Egyptians can be good race car drivers IMO. haha.

My final papers start on early of May and I may go to Umrah with Afandi and my momma in June if there's no classes on Religious Studies (heck im still gonna go anyway). Wish me luck in my finals. Ciao.

It was after Subuh when I did my routine 20-minute run in front of the Rock Club Gym, I headed to the Shisha Cafe nearby my house. The waiters are still asleep so I helped myself setting a shisha for myself.

While enjoying my honeydew flavour, an eager-faced middle-age man sat outside. Since I was the only person with eyes wide open so I took orders from him. He knew I didnt work at the cafe but he asked for a Apple flavoured Shisha. I made one for him and he gave 10 pounds. You know, one flavour costs only 2 pounds and he asked me to keep the friggin change for tips. Haha. Lucky me though. It's been a while since I got tips since I worked at Kopitiam back in KL. This is Maisara's gift for my birthday. Bought this in Langkawi at some cigar shop in Langkawi Fair Shopping Center after I searched for Zippos all over the island. There are a lot of cute sweet good looking Zippos there, but this is the right one for me I think since it's veryfuckinghard to find an ACDC Zippo in KL (there's none btw).

I'd nearly bought a Street Chrome Harley Davidson or the Lynyrd Skynrd instead of this. But those two produce terrible 'cling' sounds.

So, yay!! I finally found a "One-Of-My-Fav-Bands" Zippo at last. A million thanks couz!

N16 Nissan Sentra 1.6

This is the car I rented for my Langkawi Zippo Quest. I paid RM250 for 3 days of rental; fair enough because this car is 3 months old, quite new la. The inline-4 QG16DE powerplant sounds new (no disturbing rattling sounds). The interior is vandal-free and the car still got that "just-got-out-of-a-factory smell.

The tranny isnt smooth enough for me. I will experience these annoying jerks everytime the car changes gear. The ride, the feel, and the handling of this car are inferior to our locally-made Proton Persona. Just IMO. Heck this Sentra costs nearly double the price of our Persona. Right, I forgot foreign cars got tax in Malaysia..

I didnt really spend a lot of time photoshooting this car because it's not german (I'm a german car nut remember?). Anyway, I used the car to its fullest potential. I topped 150 km/h on the Langkawi freeway. But, wtf only 150km/h? yea, you heard me. Maybe they electronically limited the speed limit only to 150 km/h.

Burnouts. This car has a front-wheel drive layout. I did countless burnouts till the new Continental rubbers worn out.haha. Not as fun as an FR though. *Check out the tyre pic below.

Hand-brake turns. This car is frontwheel drive. So, the best I can do is just a 40 degree angle powerslide. a big fat one,the best I can do without spinning the car out of control. All thanks to the Almighty for pouring rain every night in Langkawi. I had done more than 50 powerslides in Langkawi, regardless of the weather;raining or not. Oh yes, i worn out the rear tires too.

I kinda loved this car since it doesnt have ABS and Traction Control. Thats why I can nail stupid stuffs using this car with ease. The car-rental dude only checked for dents at the front and rear bumpers of the car when I was returning it back.wtf... ITS A NISSAN(?).

Pretty good dealing with him. Although the Poslaju managed to deliver my parcel 3 days after I banked-in the cash to 'Mr. Bibinoob'. Maybe that's Poslaju's fault. idk. Photos comin right up. The internet connection right now sucked.

I called her right after I woke up when Poslaju arrived around 1530 hours. I'm glad that she's A-OK. Pheww, what a day; My Zippo parcel arrived and my cousin is just fine, unscathed.

My First 'Gonna-Be' Alone Vacation

I've just turned 18 few days ago, now I can go to places that are more than 300km from my home. The one place I have in my mind right now is Langkawi; lotsa fair-priced Zippo lighters and Duty-Free shops there.

Okay here's the thing. Zippos here in KL are sold like RM 30-100 more expensive than their normal price. So, I have no other options than to go back to Langkawi because most Zippos are sold normal price there. FYI, my two Zippos I have right now are all bought in Langkawi.

I am planning for a trip to Langkawi alone by air next month just before Ramadhan. This is going to be my first travelling-alone-vacation. HELL YEAH

Langkawi Trip Details:

1. Staying for 2 nights in Langkawi, hopefully in a cheap chalet by the beach.

2. Travelling by AirAsia. The cheapest flyingshit money can buy.(Total cost for the 2 way flight is only RM63!!)

3. Planning to bring only my Quik Camo backpack and my Canon G9. Simplicity is vital.

4. Primary mission: get a new Zippo, extra flints and refill fluids.

5. Secondary mission: Buy 'happy stuffs' for those who are close to me.

6. Bonus mission : spot a topless tourist tanning under the sun* .It would be fun!

* It's unfair. I once went on a trip to Langkawi with my classmates back in '06 after PMR. 2 of my classmates spotted a topless tourist while riding their rented bicycle. They must've been struggling to keep riding the bikes in a straight direction.haha. No judgements made, alright?

My First Half Marathon Run

I should have run 10k at the recent KL Marathon but my feet hurt like hell since I worked at kopitiam. So I didnt participate in the KL run.

Today, July 6th, I did my first half-marathon run alone. Starting from Taman Zooview (Zoo Negara), made a long u-turn at Taman Sri Ukay, ran straight to SMI Al-Amin Gombak, then to my home.

It was friggin tiring. I took a break at SMIAAG. Ate 2 servings of Nasi Paprik at Ji-Mad. Then I continued my run without wasting precious time.

I think it's not a proper half-marathon since I took a 15 minute break but I really did finished roughly 23km at 1 oclock in the morning. Pretty cool since I 'covered' 7km 9 hours ago. So yeah. What a day.

God, I love my cousin.

I love 'em E46 3 Series. Especially the 2 door coupe version. They look better than the latest E92 3er. I think E46s are gonna be classic. Here are pics of 'my' new E46 330ci coupe. The 330Ci produces a more throaty sound compared to 'my' silver E46 325i. Plus, the ride in the 330Ci is more stabler and more 'terletak' to the ground since it is fitted with M Sport Suspensions and Absorbers. The interior feature racing red leather seats, thick soft M Sports Steering Wheel, and a Harman Kardon Sound System.

Some may look this car like another car, but to me this 330Ci is a piece of German engineering excellence where you can get both performance and comfort from a car. Heck, It's as fast as a Nissan 350Z. Eat that Honda fan-boys!
